The Palisades at Broadmoor Park offers three levels of residency—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—allowing residents to transition between service levels as needs change. The community is prepared to manage moderate dementia and behaviors such as wandering (day or night), elopement risk, and “up-all-night” routines. Nursing staff monitor oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetic needs for residents on oral medications. Personal-care staff can provide some physical assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they are trained to perform walker and wheelchair transfers, standby support, or a one-person lift when required.
Additional safeguards and clinical resources round out the care model. All employees undergo background checks, and the building is equipped with door alarms, WanderGuard systems, and pull cords or personal emergency response systems that can alert staff or dial 911. An activity director coordinates programs designed for general wellness and for memory support. On-site medical services include routine physician visits, medication management, hospice coordination, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, podiatry, optometry, and dental care. Incontinence and ambulatory care are available, and the layout includes areas specifically designed to accommodate memory loss.
Apartments range from studio to larger one- and two-bedroom layouts. Some units feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, in-unit laundry, and independent temperature controls, while others offer shared or corridor laundry and varying floor plans. Residents may furnish their own space or choose provided furniture, and most apartments include cable and housekeeping. Walls can be repainted or decorated to personal taste. Scheduled laundry service is available, and Independent Living residents can add medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, and laundry support if desired.
The dining program offers set menus at each meal plus an on-order option for residents who prefer to select from a short-order list. Snacks are stocked throughout the day, in-room tray service is available during illness or by request, and a private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings. Independent Living residents can enroll in a monthly meal plan that scales up or down depending on how often they wish to cook in their own kitchenettes.
Amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty salon, an exercise room, movie theater, wellness center, heated pool, library, game room, and internet access throughout the property. Residents can join special-interest clubs, spend time in the communal gardens, or ask the concierge to arrange local outings. Scheduled transportation is provided for medical appointments and essential errands. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
