Sweetwater Senior Care is a licensed residential care home that accepts residents with a wide range of medical needs. The community is equipped to manage wandering behaviors during both daytime and nighttime hours, address combative or other behavioral issues, supervise residents who stay up all night, and provide wound care and oxygen therapy. Staff monitor and support residents on special diets, including diabetics on oral medications, injections, or sliding‐scale insulin. Individuals under 60 are admitted when appropriate, and the team is trained to serve those living with advanced dementia conditions.
A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, and every employee has cleared a background check. Night staff remain on site, security is present around the clock, and the rear grounds are fenced. Exterior doors are alarmed and resident rooms have pull cords that alert staff. On-site medical services include regular podiatry visits, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses who require ongoing oversight. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Transfer support ranges from standby help for walker users to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers, and the team can care for residents who are permanently bed-bound.
Private and semi-private rooms are available; some have en-suite bathrooms, and others share facilities. Basic furnishings are provided, but families may bring personal pieces, and most rooms can be repainted or decorated to suit individual preferences. Cable television is offered in many rooms, though not every accommodation includes this feature.
Meals follow a set menu that rotates on a schedule, and snacks are available between meals. The kitchen team works with nursing staff to modify textures, control portions, restrict sodium, and manage carbohydrate counts as prescribed. Residents with diabetes or other medically ordered diets receive meals that align with physician instructions.
Residents have on-site parking, barrier-free access for wheelchairs, community Wi-Fi, and a landscaped garden area for outdoor activities. Religious services are held within the building, and the community can arrange or provide transportation for medical appointments and personal outings.
