Varenita of Westlake offers two levels of residential care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive support with activities of daily living, medication monitoring, and routine wellness checks, while maintaining as much independence as possible. The secured Memory Care neighborhood is designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and includes 24-hour oversight by staff trained in dementia-specific techniques. Both care levels have access to an on-site Therapy Room where licensed therapists provide physical, occupational, and other rehabilitative services ordered by a physician.
Additional care features include individualized service plans that are reviewed regularly and adjusted as needs change. Licensed nurses are on site or on call around the clock to manage health concerns, coordinate with outside physicians, and oversee chronic disease management programs. Staff assist with bathing, grooming, and mobility, and electronic call systems in resident rooms and common areas connect directly to care personnel. Structured cognitive programs, fall-prevention protocols, and regular vitals monitoring round out the medical support structure.
Accommodations range from studio to one- and two-bedroom apartments with standard features such as step-in showers, emergency response pull cords, and individual climate controls. Select apartments also offer kitchenettes, private balconies, or in-unit laundry, but these features are not found in every unit. Maintenance, weekly housekeeping, and basic utilities are provided as part of the monthly fee.
Dining is centered on a main restaurant-style venue that serves three chef-prepared meals each day with tableside service. Menus are developed under the guidance of a registered dietitian and can be modified for low-sodium, diabetic, or other physician-prescribed diets. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and residents may reserve a private dining room for family visits, though this option is not available to every resident at all times.
Among the community amenities are an on-site Barber/Beauty Shop for routine grooming, an Exercise Room equipped for senior-appropriate workouts, a Movie Room with scheduled screenings, and Communal Gardens that provide outdoor seating and walking paths. Residents also benefit from scheduled transportation, laundry service, and planned recreational activities coordinated by the life enrichment team.
