Byron Park provides both Assisted Living and Independent Living, giving residents access to care that adjusts as needs change. The community supports individuals who use oxygen, require special diets, live with mild dementia, or manage diabetes with oral medications or insulin injections. Staff are also prepared to assist residents younger than 60 when appropriate. Medication management, regular health monitoring, and coordination with outside providers ensure that each resident’s clinical needs are addressed promptly.
The care team includes licensed RNs/LPNs, an awake night shift, and an activity director who keeps therapeutic programming consistent seven days a week. Safety systems feature door alarms, pull-cords, personal emergency response pendants, and fenced front and rear grounds. On-site services such as podiatry, audiology, dental care, a therapy room, and the acceptance of psychiatric conditions reduce the need for outside appointments. For daily living, staff can give full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting and provide some help with eating. Residents who use a walker or wheelchair can receive standby support or a one-person transfer when needed.
Apartment layouts vary and may include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, cable service, in-unit laundry, and the option to paint or decorate. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are provided, but not every unit offers every feature, so it is best to confirm availability during a tour.
Dining is flexible, with made-to-order meals, snacks available throughout the day, in-room service when requested, and a private dining room for family gatherings. Recipes can be modified for diabetic, heart-healthy, or other physician-ordered diets. Independent Living residents can opt into medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry service, and a monthly meal plan that includes access to the same dining venues as Assisted Living.
Residents have access to a range of amenities: on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, a wellness center, high-speed internet, communal gardens, a library, an outdoor pool, special-interest clubs, concierge assistance, and regularly scheduled religious services. Scheduled transportation, proximity to public transit, and resident parking make getting around convenient. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
