Vista Prado provides a dedicated Memory Care program for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, including those in advanced stages. Care teams are trained to manage wandering behaviors at any hour, elopement risk, combative or other challenging behaviors, and residents who stay up throughout the night. Clinical oversight covers oxygen use, oral and injected diabetes management, special diets, and younger residents who require memory care under the age of 60.
In addition to round-the-clock RN or LPN coverage, staff members undergo background checks and work awake night shifts. Residents have access to an activity director, fenced front and rear areas, door alarms, and in-room pull cords for rapid response. On-site podiatry reduces the need for outside appointments. Full assistance is available with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and the team can handle mobility needs ranging from walker support to two-person transfers and bed-bound care.
Private suites are offered, some with private bathrooms and independent temperature controls. Because layouts vary, not every accommodation includes all features, so families may want to verify specific room details during a tour.
Meals follow a set menu prepared to meet general nutritional standards, and the kitchen can adapt recipes for physician-ordered special diets. Snacks are available between meals, and staff provide full dining assistance for residents who need help eating.
Residents have access to wheelchair-accessible common areas, on-site religious services, a movie room, communal gardens, a barber and beauty shop, and limited resident parking. Scheduled transportation is available for medical appointments and local errands.
