Sunrise at Sterling Canyon provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, with programs that can be tailored to residents who wander during the day or night, are at risk for elopement, stay up all night, or live with advanced dementia. Clinical staff manage wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetic treatment whether residents use oral medications, injections, or a sliding-scale regimen. The community is also prepared to admit residents under 60 years old when care needs align with its licensure.
A licensed nurse is on site and another is on call around the clock, reinforced by background-checked caregivers who remain awake on night shift. Door alarms, pull-cords, personal emergency response systems, and WanderGuard technology support safety. Visiting podiatry and acceptance of psychiatric diagnoses expand on-site medical coverage. Caregivers can deliver full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they perform transfers ranging from standby help with a walker to two-person or Hoyer-lift moves for bed-bound residents.
Accommodations range from suites with private bathrooms and kitchenettes to simpler rooms; some include individual climate controls, cable service, or the option to paint and decorate, but not every unit has every feature. Independent Living residents may choose similar layouts and receive medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry, and a predictable monthly meal plan.
Dining offers a set daily menu plus an on-order option at each meal. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the culinary team modifies textures and ingredients to meet physician-directed nutritional plans such as low-sugar, low-sodium, or mechanical-soft diets.
Residents have access to parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible grounds, a beauty and barber shop, wellness center, internet connectivity, communal gardens, on-site religious services, and scheduled transportation. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
