Oakmont of Valencia provides two core levels of support: Assisted Living for residents who want help with daily activities while maintaining as much independence as possible, and Memory Care for individuals coping with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Both programs are structured to adjust quickly as needs change, giving residents a defined path of care without requiring a move to another community.
Medical resources are broad. Diabetes management, respite or short-term stays, physician oversight, and speech therapy are available. The community is secured, an important feature for those at risk of wandering. On-site professionals include nurses, physical and occupational therapists, a podiatrist, dentist, massage therapist, and hospice team. Services such as medication management, incontinence and ambulatory care, and spaces designed specifically for memory loss are integrated into daily routines.
Apartments and suites come in multiple floor plans and may include balconies, patios, or decks, kitchenettes, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and individual climate control. Wheelchair-accessible showers and other handicap-friendly design elements are in place, and some residences are close to the central fireplace or piano lounge. Outdoor areas and parking are available, and the community is pet friendly, although not every unit includes all listed features.
Dining emphasizes choice and dietary oversight. Residents can select restaurant-style meals prepared by a professional chef, with options ranging from international dishes to vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, low-sodium, and no-sugar selections. All-day dining means food is available outside set meal times, and guests are welcome for shared meals.
Residents can use an activity center, library and computer lounge, and clubs for hobbies or social interests. There are indoor and outdoor walking paths, raised garden beds, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, yoga and chair-yoga classes, fitness programs, karaoke, live music, dances, birthday celebrations, happy hours, reminiscence sessions, and intergenerational events. Social outings are scheduled regularly, offering additional engagement outside the community.
