Coastal Charm of Tustin is licensed as a residential care home and is prepared to manage a wide range of clinical needs. The team accepts residents who wander at any time of day, are at risk for elopement, display combative or other behavioral challenges, stay up through the night, or live with advanced dementia. Staff are trained to monitor and treat wounds, manage oxygen therapy, and follow special physician-ordered diets. Diabetic support covers oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding-scale regimens, and the community is open to residents younger than 60 when appropriate.
Care is reinforced by background-checked staff, an awake night shift, fenced outdoor areas, and door alarms to prevent unsupervised exits. A visiting podiatrist provides on-site foot care, and caregivers offer full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby supervision and one- or two-person assists to full mechanical lifts for bed-bound individuals, ensuring mobility support adjusts to each resident’s abilities.
Private and semi-private rooms are available, and while every unit is furnished, residents may bring personal items and may paint or decorate subject to safety guidelines. Some rooms include private bathrooms, cable service, and regular housekeeping, but these features vary by accommodation and should be confirmed during a tour.
Meals follow a set menu with an option to order alternate selections. Snacks are available throughout the day, and residents can dine in their rooms or reserve the private dining room for family visits. The kitchen can prepare gluten-free plates, vegetarian dishes, mechanical-chopped or pureed textures, and thickened liquids to meet physician and dietitian instructions.
The building is fully wheelchair accessible and offers community-wide internet access so residents can stay connected to family and friends.
