The Reserve at Thousand Oaks offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive help with medication management, blood-pressure monitoring, glucose checks, and other routine health needs from licensed nurses on site. Care staff are on duty around the clock, and the community coordinates with physicians, therapists, and home-health agencies when additional services such as physical or occupational therapy are prescribed. Independent Living residents have access to the same on-site nursing team for scheduled wellness checks and can easily transition to Assisted Living services if their needs change, ensuring continuity of care without leaving the property.
In addition to direct medical support, the community provides assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility when required. A monitored emergency response system is installed throughout the building to ensure rapid attention in case of falls or sudden illness. Scheduled transportation to and from medical appointments, pharmacy runs, and diagnostic testing centers is included, and staff handle the paperwork involved in coordinating with external healthcare providers. Ongoing wellness programming—exercise classes, chronic-condition education, and vaccination clinics—rounds out the health services available.
Residential options include studios as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments. Many units feature kitchenettes, step-in showers with grab bars, individual climate controls, and emergency pull cords, though not all accommodations have all features. Weekly housekeeping, linen service, and maintenance are part of the standard package, and residents can add personal laundry service if desired. Select floor plans offer balconies or patios, and all apartments are wired for cable and internet.
Dining is provided three times daily in a central restaurant-style venue. Menus are reviewed by a registered dietitian to support heart-healthy, diabetic, low-sodium, and other physician-ordered diets, and residents can request menu substitutions at each meal. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and room service can be arranged during illness or recovery. A private dining room may be reserved for family gatherings, and the culinary team solicits resident feedback during monthly food forums to keep offerings aligned with preferences and nutritional guidelines.
