Crescent Oaks Memory Care is dedicated solely to memory care and welcomes residents who live with Alzheimer’s disease, other forms of dementia, and related cognitive challenges, including advanced stages. The community can accommodate individuals who wander at any time of day, are at risk of elopement, display combative or other behavioral issues, remain awake overnight, require oxygen support, follow physician-ordered special diets, are younger than 60, or manage diabetes with oral medication. Podiatry services are provided on site, and the residence accepts psychiatric diagnoses that may complicate care.
Direct care is structured around 24-hour oversight. A nurse is on call around the clock, background checks are completed on all staff, and the night shift remains awake. The building uses locked and alarmed doors, fenced outdoor areas, and wander-guard technology, while pull-cord alerts link residents to staff at any time. Full assistance is offered for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby support to two-person or bed-bound transfers, and both walker and wheelchair users are accommodated.
Resident rooms include basic cable service, and layouts are arranged to maximize visibility for staff while allowing residents to personalize their space. Some rooms feature additional conveniences, but not every unit has every option, so families should confirm specific details during a tour.
Meals follow a set menu prepared to meet nutritional guidelines for older adults, with adjustments available for physician-ordered or preference-based diets such as low-sodium or diabetic needs. Snacks are stocked throughout the day and night, ensuring residents who are up late or who have fluctuating appetites can eat when they choose.
Amenities include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a wellness center, communal gardens, and on-site religious services.
