Harborview Senior Assisted Living provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, enabling residents with varying levels of independence and cognitive ability to remain on the same campus as their needs change. The community is equipped to manage complex medical situations that include residents who wander or demonstrate elopement risk, those who are up all night, and individuals with behavioral or combative tendencies. Staff members support residents requiring wound care, supplemental oxygen, special diets, and oral-medication management for diabetes. The team is also trained to work with advanced dementia and will accept residents younger than 60 when appropriate.
Care is delivered under the supervision of an on-site RN or LPN, with caregivers on duty and awake around the clock. Background-checked staff use door alarms, a fenced rear area, pull-cord alerts, and personal emergency response systems to enhance safety. A designated activity director coordinates programs suited to each resident’s abilities. Clinical services such as podiatry visits and psychiatric oversight are available on site. Residents who need hands-on help with bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting can receive full assistance, and the transfer program ranges from standby support and walker use to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for bed-bound individuals.
Rooms are available in several layouts; some feature private bathrooms, furnishings, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate, while others may offer a more basic setup. Scheduled laundry service is included, and maintenance staff address routine upkeep so residents can focus on daily life.
Meals follow a set menu prepared to meet common nutritional guidelines, but the kitchen can accommodate vegetarian preferences, special diets, mechanical-chopped or pureed textures, and thickened liquids. Snacks are kept available throughout the day, and in-room dining is arranged when health or personal preference makes it necessary.
Residents have access to wheelchair-friendly indoor and outdoor areas, internet connectivity, and communal gardens that serve as gathering spots for casual recreation. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
