Casa De Las Campanas offers an Independent Living program designed for residents who are largely self-sufficient but want reliable medical oversight close at hand. The community supports special diet requirements, manages diabetes for both residents on oral medications and those who need insulin injections, and provides in-house incontinence and ambulatory care. While it does not serve dementia conditions, an RN or LPN is on staff and a nurse is present on site 24 hours a day, with an additional nurse on call at all times.
Daily safety and monitoring are reinforced by background-checked employees, awake and asleep night shifts, an activity director, and continuous security coverage. Residents can summon help through in-room pull cords or personal emergency response devices, and staff members can assist with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting when someone needs a hand but still wishes to maintain a high level of independence. Walker and wheelchair transfers are part of standard support, so mobility changes do not automatically require a higher level of care or a move to another community.
Apartments may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, furnishings, individual climate controls, and laundry machines, though not every unit has all of these features. Residents can paint or decorate their space to make it their own, and scheduled housekeeping and laundry services are included for those in Independent Living, eliminating routine chores while preserving privacy.
Meals are prepared on a set menu, with the option to order off menu items, and dietitians accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, diabetic, and other physician-directed modifications. Snacks are available throughout the day, room service is offered for in-room dining, and a private dining room can be reserved for family events or special occasions, allowing residents to host guests without leaving the community.
On the lifestyle side, Casa De Las Campanas provides resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, pet-friendly policies, wheelchair-accessible grounds, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge desk, library, swimming pool, special-interest clubs, scheduled transportation, and proximity to public transit. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
