The Ivy at Blue Oaks offers two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive help with activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management, provided by staff members who are available around the clock. The Memory Care program serves individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and is delivered in a secure area where specially trained caregivers use structured routines and cueing techniques designed to reduce anxiety and promote safety. Licensed nurses oversee care plans, coordinate with physicians, and monitor health changes, ensuring that medical needs are addressed promptly and accurately.
Complementing these core services are a range of clinical supports intended to keep residents stable and out of the hospital whenever possible. On-site wellness checks, scheduled physician visits, and coordination with outside therapists allow residents to receive many health services without leaving the community. Care team members track vital signs, handle medication refills, and arrange lab work or imaging through local providers. An emergency call system links apartments directly to staff stations, and caregivers are trained in first aid and CPR. Regular fall-risk assessments, mobility assistance, and escort services help lower the chance of injury during daily activities.
Accommodations at The Ivy at Blue Oaks include studio, one-bedroom, and companion suites. Each apartment offers a private bathroom with step-in shower and safety grab bars, individual climate controls, and basic cable connections, though not every unit has every feature. Some floor plans contain kitchenettes with a microwave and refrigerator, while others focus on open living space for easier mobility. Weekly housekeeping, linen service, and maintenance are included, and residents can add personal touches with their own furniture and décor to create a familiar environment.
Meals are prepared three times a day in the community kitchen and served in a communal dining room with table service. Menu selections rotate regularly and can be modified for low-sodium, diabetic, and other physician-prescribed diets. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and residents can request tray service to their rooms during short-term illness. The community’s policy indicates that pets are allowed. It's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
