Poway Gardens – Magnolias (Cadence) delivers dedicated Memory Care, including support for residents with advanced dementia. The team is equipped to manage wandering behaviors during the day or night, elopement risks, combative or other behavioral issues, and residents who are awake throughout the night. Medical oversight extends to wound care, oxygen management, special diets, residents younger than 60, and diabetics who rely on oral medications.

Around-the-clock oversight is maintained through an RN/LPN on staff, a nurse on call 24 hours a day, and an awake night shift. All employees undergo background checks, and the building uses door alarms, fenced outdoor areas, and pull-cord alert systems for added safety. On-site podiatry is available, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Full assistance can be provided with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer capabilities range from standby help and one-person assists to two-person or full-Hoyer-lift transfers, including care for bed-bound individuals.

Private and companion accommodations are available furnished, and many allow residents to paint or decorate the space to their preference. Cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are offered; however, not every room includes every feature, so it is best to verify availability when touring.

Dining is based on a set menu prepared by staff trained to handle diet modifications such as diabetic, low-sodium, or other physician-ordered plans. Snacks are available between meals to support residents who may have fluctuating appetites or need additional calorie intake.

Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, a library, and on-site religious services. Scheduled transportation is offered, and the location is close to public transit options. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
