Ivy Park at Palo Alto offers two licensed levels of care—Assisted Living for residents who need help with daily tasks and Memory Care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Both settings can accept individuals who require a short-term or respite stay, allowing families temporary relief while their loved one receives professional support within the community.
On-site medical services cover diabetes management, structured respite programs, and a mental wellness program that addresses emotional health through counseling and monitored activities. Care teams trained in cognitive support use a wander-guard system to help prevent unsafe exits, giving an added layer of security for residents who may be at risk of wandering.
Living options range from studio apartments to larger layouts, and they are designed with practical features such as wheelchair-accessible showers, air conditioning, cable, Wi-Fi, telephone hookups, and optional kitchenettes. Some apartments have direct access to outdoor areas or parking, and the community maintains indoor common spaces, libraries, computer lounges, and pet-friendly policies; however, not every unit includes every listed feature.
Daily dining is provided by an in-house culinary team that prepares three scheduled meals along with all-day dining options. Menus can accommodate gluten-free, low-sodium, and no-sugar diets, and residents may invite guests for meals. Healthy snacks are stocked throughout the day to support balanced nutrition.
Amenities include an activity center, arts and crafts workshops, bingo, clubs, social outings, happy hours, a swimming pool, and off-site excursions coordinated through the Live Well and health and wellness programs. Residents can also spend time in the library and computer lounge or enjoy outdoor areas approved for supervised use.
