Redwood Retirement Residence offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living options. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders, while still retaining as much independence as possible. Those in Independent Living have the freedom to manage their own schedules and care needs but benefit from access to the same campus resources if their requirements change over time. This two-tier model allows individuals to move between service levels without relocating to a different community.
The community maintains an on-site clinical team that supports a range of health needs. Nurses are available to oversee medication management and to coordinate care plans with physicians. Residents have access to occupational, physical, and speech therapists who provide scheduled therapy sessions in dedicated treatment areas. A visiting podiatrist addresses foot and gait concerns, helping to reduce fall risk. These services are delivered on campus, limiting the need for outside appointments and supporting continuity of care.
Apartments include basic utilities and offer housekeeping and scheduled laundry service to keep living spaces clean and organized. Floor plans vary, and not all residences include the same features, so prospective residents should confirm specific amenities—such as storage options or balcony availability—during a tour.
Three meals are prepared daily, and staff can accommodate vegetarian diets upon request. Meal service emphasizes balanced nutrition, portion control, and consistency with physician-recommended dietary guidelines. Residents may choose to dine in a communal setting or request tray service when feeling unwell.
Additional amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, an on-site barber and beauty shop, a fitness room, internet access in shared and private areas, and maintained communal gardens suitable for walking or outdoor relaxation. Scheduled transportation is provided for medical appointments, shopping, and local events. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
