The Havens at Antelope Valley offers two primary levels of support—Assisted Living and Memory Care—so residents can receive help that matches their cognitive and physical needs. Assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, medication routines, and other activities of daily living is available around the clock, and care plans are adjusted as conditions change. For individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, the community’s Memory Care program provides secure surroundings, structured days, and staff trained in redirection techniques to promote safety and reduce anxiety.
Beyond the base levels of care, the community maintains a broad range of clinical options on site. Scheduled respite and short-term stays give family caregivers a break, while nurses coordinate diabetes management, wound care, pain management, incontinence care, and medication administration. Residents have access to physical, occupational, and speech therapy without leaving the building, and a podiatrist visits regularly. Stroke care, ambulatory support, and vision care are also available, and the team can transition residents to hospice services when needed, allowing them to remain in familiar surroundings for end-of-life care.
Apartments come in studio and efficiency layouts, some with kitchenettes, cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and washers and dryers in unit. A number of suites include wheelchair-accessible showers, while others are situated near the central fireplace or open onto landscaped outdoor areas. Housekeeping is provided, parking is available, and cats are welcome in select units. Outdoor gardens and walking paths give residents a safe place to move around, but not every accommodation includes every feature listed, so it is best to confirm what is available during a tour.
Meals are prepared three times daily, with gluten-free and other allergen-sensitive options for residents who require them. Restaurant-style table service encourages social interaction, and lighter fare is offered for those with smaller appetites. Seasonal barbecues and picnics are held in the courtyard when weather permits, and snacks are accessible throughout the day for residents who prefer flexible dining schedules.
An activity center anchors the community’s daily schedule, which includes fitness programs, yoga sessions, and organized health and wellness classes. Residents can join clubs, work on arts and crafts projects, or relax in the library and computer lounge. A swimming pool, social outings, and day trips keep people engaged off-site, while birthday parties and other celebrations bring everyone together on campus.
