Sun and Sea Manor Residential Memory Care is dedicated exclusively to memory care and is prepared to manage a broad range of medical needs. The team is experienced in supporting residents who wander at any time of day, have elopement risk, display combative or other behavioral issues, stay up all night, or live with advanced dementia. Clinical staff can provide wound care, oxygen management, special diet oversight, and monitoring for diabetics on oral medications. The community is also open to residents younger than 60 who need memory care services.
Registered and licensed nurses are on staff, background-checked caregivers remain awake through the night, and all exterior doors are alarmed with both the front and rear areas fenced for added safety. A visiting podiatrist is available, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Caregivers offer full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they are trained to handle mobility needs ranging from supervision while walking to two-person or Hoyer lifts for total transfers. An activity director coordinates daily programming to keep residents engaged while 24-hour security ensures continual oversight.
Accommodations include furnished rooms, some with private bathrooms, and residents may paint or decorate their space to feel more at home. Cable service is offered in selected rooms, so prospective residents should confirm specific features during their tour.
Meals follow a set menu prepared to meet dietary requirements, and staff can implement modifications for conditions such as diabetes or texture needs. Snacks are available between meals, and caregivers remain on hand to provide full feeding assistance when required.
Residents have access to outdoor smoking areas, a barber and beauty shop, internet connectivity, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Scheduled transportation is provided, and the property is close to public transit for added convenience. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
