Brunswick Village provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, allowing residents to move between levels of support without leaving the community. Licensed nurses oversee medication management, wound care, oxygen support, and diabetic management for those on oral medications. Staff are trained to address behavioral issues and advanced dementia, and the community accepts younger adults when care needs warrant. Hospice and palliative oversight are available, and physical, occupational, and ambulatory therapies can be arranged on site, minimizing outside appointments.
Direct care staff can give full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and are trained in a range of transfers—from standby help to two-person or bed-bound lifts—so residents using walkers or wheelchairs, as well as those requiring total support, can be accommodated. An awake night shift, door alarms, fenced outdoor areas, and a PERS alert system provide continuous safety monitoring. All employees undergo background checks, and an activity director coordinates therapeutic programming tailored to cognitive and physical abilities.
Residences include options with private bathrooms, independent temperature controls, walk-in showers, and cable service; some apartments have all of these features, while others vary in layout. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are included, and maintenance staff handle routine repairs so residents can focus on daily activities rather than household chores.
Meals are prepared to order, and the kitchen can honor mechanical soft, chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other doctor-ordered diets. Snacks are available throughout the day, and in-room dining is offered when illness or preference makes eating privately more comfortable. Nutrition staff consult with nursing to ensure special diets are followed accurately.
Residents have access to on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, wellness center, concierge desk, library, and landscaped interior and exterior gardens. Special-interest clubs, religious services, a resident council, and a communal phone in reception encourage social engagement, and mail is delivered directly to apartments. Scheduled transportation is provided for medical appointments and errands. The community is pet friendly; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
