The community does not provide specialized dementia support, so residents who require memory care would need to look elsewhere. Within the scope of Independent Living, staff can assist with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting when these tasks are still largely self-directed but need a helping hand.
Routine safety and staffing measures back up the care model. Team members pass background checks, and an on-site staff member is present overnight in a sleep-shift capacity. Apartments are equipped with pull-cord alert systems, and residents may also use a personal emergency response pendant that notifies staff. An activity director coordinates daily programming, making sure that the social and wellness calendar is in place for residents who want structure without clinical intensity.
Apartment layouts vary, and not every residence offers every feature. Available options include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, patios, and the ability to paint or decorate the space. Cable service is ready for hookup, and weekly housekeeping plus scheduled laundry are provided so residents don’t have to manage heavy chores.
Dining follows a set menu with three meals daily, snacks available between seatings, and vegetarian selections at each service. A private dining room can be reserved for family events. Independent Living residents can opt into a monthly meal plan that scales to how often they prefer to eat in the main restaurant. Housekeeping and laundry are bundled into the Independent Living package and can be adjusted if needs change over time.
On the amenities side, residents have access to parking, outdoor smoking areas, and pet-friendly policies; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. The property is wheelchair accessible and offers a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, library, pool table, movie theater, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, special-interest clubs, a resident travel program, and concierge support. Scheduled transportation is available for shopping, appointments, and local outings.
