Solano Life House offers two levels of residential care: Assisted Living for seniors who need help with daily tasks and a secured Memory Care program for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Both settings operate under 24-hour supervision and an emergency call system. Medical oversight includes regular physician visits, on-site nursing, and continuous diabetes support—from blood glucose monitoring to adherence to physician-ordered diabetic diets. The campus is built to support memory loss, with dedicated areas designed to reduce confusion and wandering while still allowing residents safe freedom of movement.
Beyond daily medical oversight, the community coordinates directly with outside health-care providers to maintain continuity of treatment. Physical and occupational therapists visit on-site, same-day assessments are available, and a mental wellness program supports residents with behavioral or mood challenges. Solano Life House accepts both hospice and dementia waivers, offers respite or short-term stays, and provides ambulatory and incontinence care. Medication management is handled by licensed staff, and specialized programs are in place for Parkinson’s disease and mild cognitive impairment.
Apartments and shared suites come furnished or unfurnished and include options such as cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, individual climate control, wheelchair-accessible showers, and telephone hookups; not every unit contains every feature, so prospective residents should verify specific layouts during a tour. Common areas include a library with computers, a central fireplace, piano, garden courtyards, and convenient parking. The community is pet friendly, subject to management approval and care plans.
Daily dining is overseen by a professional chef who prepares three meals plus anytime snacks. Menus accommodate vegetarian, vegan, kosher, gluten-free, low-sodium, no-sugar, and other physician-ordered diets. Residents may choose between all-day dining or scheduled seatings, and guests can purchase meals when visiting. International dishes appear regularly to offer variety.
Residents have access to an activity center, organized clubs, exercise classes such as yoga and chair yoga, fitness programs, and an outdoor walking path network. The community schedules reminiscence groups, intergenerational programs, birthday celebrations, dances, karaoke, live music events, social outings, and seasonal parties. A swimming pool and other outdoor spaces encourage physical activity and social interaction year-round.
