Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa offers a dedicated memory care program that addresses the needs of residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, including advanced stages. The community is designed specifically to accommodate memory loss and is exclusively focused on memory care. Residents may receive medical oversight for special diets, diabetic management for those on oral medications, and comprehensive medication management. On-site medical professionals include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, a physical therapist, occupational therapist, optometrist, dentist, and podiatrist. Hospice services, ambulatory and incontinence care, and full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting are available to support changing health conditions.
Care is reinforced by 24-hour nursing coverage, awake night staff, and an activity director who structures programs that align with cognitive abilities. Security measures include background-checked staff, alarmed doors, fenced front and rear areas, and continuous staff presence throughout the building. Residents who use walkers or wheelchairs can receive standby supervision or a one-person transfer when needed. Pull-cord alert systems connect directly to staff, and the enclosed environment reduces the risk of wandering while still allowing safe movement.
Accommodations include private or companion suites, some of which feature wheelchair-accessible showers, Wi-Fi, and private bathrooms; note that private bathrooms are available in our private units only and not every room contains every feature listed. The building is handicap accessible throughout and offers common spaces such as a central fireplace lounge, a piano area for music activities, and outdoor spots that range from a butterfly garden to furnished patios. Small pets are welcome in designated rooms, and parking is provided for residents and visitors.
Meals follow a set menu prepared to meet the nutritional guidelines of older adults, with staff able to modify textures and ingredients to support physician-ordered diets or personal preferences. Snacks are available throughout the day, and hydration reminders are integrated into daily routines. Dining room seating is arranged to promote calm interaction, while caregivers provide full assistance for residents who need help eating or require monitoring of food intake due to diabetes or other health concerns.
Additional amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible pathways, an enclosed courtyard, and communal gardens. Housekeeping and laundry services are handled by staff, and routine transportation is available for medical appointments or local outings, with public transit options nearby. Residents may visit the on-site barber and beauty shop, attend religious services, or use common areas for group activities. Visiting professionals—optometrist, dentist, and podiatrist—supplement regular care, and the team can coordinate medication monitoring, respite stays, or hospice support as conditions change.
