Sunny View Manor provides both Assisted Living and Independent Living, giving residents a choice between daily support or a more self-directed lifestyle. The clinical team can manage a wide range of conditions including day-time or night-time wandering, elopement risks, residents who are up all night, oxygen therapy, specialized diets, younger adults under 60, and diabetes treated with either oral medication or insulin injections. Care staff are trained to work with advanced dementia and can furnish full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Mobility support accommodates walkers, wheelchairs, standby supervision, and one-person transfers, helping residents move safely throughout the campus. On-site podiatry visits reduce the need for outside appointments.
Around-the-clock medical oversight is reinforced by an RN or LPN always on staff and a nurse physically on site 24 hours a day. Background-checked employees cover an awake night shift, and an activity director coordinates cognitive and recreational programming. Safety measures include door alarms, fenced outdoor areas, WanderGuard technology, personal emergency response systems, pull cords, and continuous security coverage. These features let the clinical team respond quickly to any change in condition while maintaining resident freedom.
Residences range from studios to larger apartments and may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable access, and the option to paint or decorate—though not every unit has all of these features. Dining is offered restaurant-style with an on-order menu, snacks available throughout the day, and diet modifications managed by staff dietitians. Independent Living residents can sign up for medication management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry service, and a monthly meal plan, letting them add only the help they want.
Three daily meals for Assisted Living residents are prepared on site, and caregivers are available in the dining room to assist anyone who needs help cutting food or managing adaptive utensils. Full dining support is also provided for those with dysphagia or other swallowing concerns. Regular menu reviews accommodate diabetic, low-sodium, and other physician-ordered diets.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center with internet access, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Residents can join group trips, art classes, and scheduled transportation, or use nearby public transit for personal outings. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
