Valencia Terrace provides both Assisted Living and Independent Living options and is equipped to manage residents who wander during the day or night, require wound care, need supplemental oxygen, follow special diets, or take oral diabetic medications. The community does not offer dedicated dementia programming but can safely monitor residents who exhibit wandering behaviors. Care staff are on hand around the clock, ensuring that residents receive timely medical attention within these defined service areas.
On-site medical resources include visiting podiatry and a dedicated therapy room for rehabilitative sessions. Personal‐care assistance is available for bathing, dressing, and toileting at the full-assist level, while help with eating is offered for those who need some physical support. Transfer needs are met through one-person or two-person assists, and a full transfer with Hoyer lift is available when necessary, allowing the community to serve residents with varying mobility challenges.
Apartments can feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual climate controls, cable service, and in-unit laundry, and residents are welcome to paint or decorate their space to feel more at home. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are included for those units without their own washer and dryer. Because floor plans vary, not every apartment contains every feature, so it is important to verify specific layouts during a tour.
Meals are offered by set menu or cooked to order, with snacks available throughout the day. Residents may dine in the main restaurant-style venue, request in-room service, or reserve a private dining room for family gatherings. The culinary team manages mechanical-chop, puréed, and thickened-liquid diets as prescribed. Independent Living residents can opt into a monthly meal plan that covers a set number of meals while still allowing them the flexibility to cook in their own kitchenette or dine off campus.
Resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, wellness center, internet access, library, communal gardens, pool, and special-interest clubs round out the amenities. On-site religious services, concierge assistance, and scheduled transportation—including a Townecar service—and proximity to public transit support daily convenience. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
