Aasta Assisted Living of Camarillo offers two primary levels of care: assisted living for residents who need day-to-day help with activities and memory care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. The community supports both settings with a mental wellness program, diabetes management, planned respite or short-term stays, and on-site physical therapy to maintain strength and mobility.
Additional clinical support includes 12- to 16-hour licensed nursing coverage, medication management, incontinence and ambulatory care, stroke and wound care, and coordinated hospice services when needed. Nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists are available on site, and the secured courtyard aids residents who may wander. An emergency call system and building-wide sprinkler system address safety. The presence of an independent living wing and pet-focused programs lets residents transition between service levels without leaving the campus.
Living spaces range from studio and efficiency apartments to larger suites. Depending on the unit, residents may have wall-to-wall carpeting, private kitchenettes, cable TV, Wi-Fi, phone connections, and wheelchair-accessible showers. Some apartments open directly to landscaped gardens or outdoor seating areas, and resident parking is available. Because layouts and features vary, not all accommodations include every listed item.
Dining is provided three times a day, and menus are designed to meet a variety of dietary needs while supporting diabetes and overall wellness goals. Between meals, residents can choose from a selection of healthy snacks. Utilities are bundled into the monthly rate, so residents do not have to track separate bills.
Residents can stay active through an on-site activity center, indoor and outdoor walking paths, yoga sessions, Forever Fit classes, and broader health and wellness programs. Social calendars include art classes, TV and movie nights, live music, club meetings, birthday and holiday parties, and regular off-site outings. Live Well programs are scheduled to encourage ongoing engagement and help residents maintain physical and cognitive strength.
