Mills Estate Villa provides two levels of licensed care—Assisted Living and Memory Care—so residents can remain in the same community even as needs change. The team is equipped to manage oxygen therapy, special diets, diabetes (both oral-med and insulin-dependent), and residents who are under 60 years old. Staff members are trained to support moderate dementia, and individualized care plans are adjusted as medical conditions evolve.
To maintain safety and quick response times, a nurse is on call 24 hours a day and the night shift remains awake. All employees undergo background checks, and emergency pull-cords and optional personal emergency response systems alert staff at any hour. A visiting podiatrist is scheduled on site, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses who are medically stable. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby support for walkers to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for people who are bed-bound, making the residence an option for a broad spectrum of mobility levels.
Private and semi-private rooms are available furnished, and families may paint or decorate to suit personal preferences. Cable service can be arranged, though not every room includes every feature, so it is best to confirm specific amenities during a tour. The environment is straightforward and designed to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers without unnecessary obstacles.
Dining is prepared on site, and residents order meals from a daily menu that can be modified for physician-prescribed diets. Snacks are stocked and available throughout the day. Staff monitor intake for those who need reminders or full assistance, and blood-glucose readings are coordinated with meal schedules for diabetic residents.
For older adults who live independently in one of the apartments, medication-management monitoring is offered as an optional service. Staff ensure pills are taken on time, track refills, and communicate with prescribing physicians, allowing Independent Living residents to stay on top of health concerns without giving up autonomy.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, a wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, central heating, and scheduled transportation for appointments and errands. Smoking is limited to designated outdoor areas. Pets are allowed, although policies vary by size and breed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
