Burlingame Villa is a dedicated memory-care community equipped to serve residents with all stages of dementia, including advanced conditions. The team is prepared to handle wandering behaviors at any hour, elopement risk, combative or other behavioral issues, nighttime wakefulness, and complex medical needs such as wound care, oxygen use, and diabetes management for residents on either oral medications or insulin injections. The community also accepts residents with co-existing psychiatric diagnoses.
Care delivery is supported by a 24-hour nurse on call, an awake overnight staff, and thorough pre-employment background checks. The building is enclosed with fenced front and rear areas, wander-guard systems, and pull cords that can alert staff or dial 911 directly. Full assistance is available with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and the staff can accommodate mobility levels ranging from walkers and wheelchairs to one- or two-person transfers, Hoyer lift transfers, and bed-bound care. An on-site activity director keeps residents engaged while continuous security and staffing support safety.
Private and semiprivate rooms are offered furnished, and select units include cable service. Because room layouts vary, not every accommodation comes with the same features, so prospective residents should verify availability during a tour.
Meals are prepared on a set menu, with the option to order alternatives, and snacks are available throughout the day. The kitchen team can follow physician-ordered diet modifications or specialized meal plans to manage conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or swallowing difficulties.
Residents have access to outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-friendly common spaces, internet service, communal gardens, an activities room, and scheduled transportation, with public transit located nearby. Optional licensed professionals, including hospice providers, can deliver supplemental care on site, and housekeeping, laundry, linen service, maintenance, and other routine tasks are handled by the community staff.
