The Heights at Burbank delivers two levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care—in a single setting. Residents who wander during the day or night, show exit-seeking behaviors, display behavioral issues, or live with moderate dementia can be managed on site. Clinical staff can also handle wound care, oxygen management, and diabetes support whether the resident is on oral medication, injections, or sliding-scale insulin.
Round-the-clock care is reinforced by an RN or LPN on site and a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Safety features include a fenced perimeter, alarmed doors, wander guards, and in-room pull cords that alert staff. An activity director keeps residents engaged, while visiting podiatry, audiology, dental, and therapy services reduce the need for outside appointments. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and will perform transfers ranging from standby support to two-person or Hoyer lift moves, including bed-bound care when needed.
Residences can include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate the room. Scheduled laundry is provided. Not every accommodation contains every feature, so families should confirm specific room details during a tour.
Dining is flexible, with three daily meals plus snacks available around the clock. Meals can be taken in the main dining room, a private dining space for family gatherings, or in the resident’s apartment. Dietitians accommodate mechanical-chopped, pureed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other physician-ordered modifications to support individual medical needs.
Amenities include resident parking, outside smoking areas, wheelchair accessibility, and an on-site barber and beauty shop. The community also offers an exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, a library, special-interest clubs, and on-site religious services. Scheduled transportation is available, and the property sits close to public transit. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
