Brookdale Riverwalk offers three levels of residency—independent living, assisted living, and a dedicated memory care neighborhood—supported by an extensive on-site clinical program. Residents have access to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, physical and occupational therapists, speech therapy, podiatry, wound and pain management, and diabetic services without leaving the community. Short-term respite stays can be arranged, hospice care is available, and the team is experienced in supporting moderate dementia conditions. Medication management, incontinence care, ambulatory care, and therapies aimed at recovery from stroke are part of the daily clinical routine.
Care delivery is reinforced by 24-hour nursing coverage, a round-the-clock security staff, and a daily check-in system. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they can safely support transfers with walkers, wheelchairs, or standby supervision. The campus is purpose-built to accommodate memory loss, and family counseling services are available. Residents can also use a brain-fitness program designed to maintain cognitive abilities.
Accommodations include apartment layouts with a private bathroom, emergency response features, and optional internet access. Some units add premium features such as courtyard views or proximity to communal areas, but not every apartment contains every feature. Weekly housekeeping and laundry services, including dry cleaning, are handled by staff, and maintenance is included in the monthly fee.
Dining follows a set menu with multiple entrée choices at each meal, and the culinary team routinely prepares diabetic-friendly and other physician-ordered diets. Menu adjustments can accommodate texture-modified meals, sodium restrictions, and other dietary needs. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and mealtimes are staggered to suit both independent and assisted living schedules.
Residents have access to a barber and beauty salon, arts and crafts studio, heated outdoor pool, communal gardens, and campus-wide internet. An emergency response system is installed in each residence, and organized activities run daily. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
