Sierra Ridge Memory Care is a dedicated memory-care community designed for residents living with all stages of dementia, including advanced conditions. The team is trained to manage wandering behaviors day or night, elopement risk, agitation, and other behavioral concerns. Medical oversight extends to wound care, special diet preparation, and glucose monitoring for residents who use oral diabetic medications. The community also accepts residents with co-existing psychiatric diagnoses, ensuring continuity of care without the need for outside placement.
An RN or LPN is on site to oversee clinical needs, supported by caregivers who remain awake through the night. All employees undergo background checks, and the building is secured with alarmed doors, fenced outdoor areas, and in-room pull cords that alert staff. Residents can receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and staff can accommodate mobility levels ranging from independent walker use to one-person transfers and bed-bound support. An activity director coordinates daily programming to keep residents engaged while clinical staff remain available around the clock.
Private and semi-private rooms are offered, many with in-suite bathrooms, basic furnishings, and individual climate controls. Some apartments add cable service, cueing lights in the bathroom, or motion sensors that activate at night; availability of these features varies by unit. Scheduled laundry service is included so families do not need to handle clothing or linen care.
Meals follow a set menu that can be modified for texture, sodium, sugar, or other dietary restrictions prescribed by physicians. A private dining room can be reserved when families want to share a meal, and snacks are stocked throughout the day and night so residents can eat when they wish without waiting for scheduled meal times.
Residents have access to a barber and beauty shop, a movie room, a library, special-interest clubs, and 24-hour courtyard access. The property is fully wheelchair accessible and offers aromatherapy sessions, harp music therapy, live-music performances, pet therapy visits, and a spa tub for relaxation. A resident council meets regularly to provide feedback, and transportation is available for medical appointments through the community shuttle. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
