Residents who need routine diabetes monitoring or periodic sessions with a speech therapist can arrange those services on site. A licensed nurse (RN/LPN) is part of the staff, and an on-call nurse is available around the clock for urgent issues. Although general health oversight is provided, the community does not specialize in dementia care. All clinical personnel are required to pass background checks before hire, and a night-shift team remains on duty while residents sleep.
Additional health-related features include on-site podiatry visits and assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and toileting for those who need self-care support. Staff can help with safe transfers for residents who use a walker or wheelchair. Emergency pull-cords in the apartments connect directly to staff, and 24-hour security is in place throughout the property. An activity director coordinates daily programs that are compatible with residents’ care plans and mobility levels.
Apartments are offered in several layouts. Depending on the unit selected, features may include a private bathroom, a kitchenette, basic furnishings, independent temperature controls, cable service and the option to paint or decorate the room. Meals are served restaurant-style from a set menu, with made-to-order choices and snacks always available. Special diets can be accommodated, and portion sizes or ingredient modifications are arranged through the dining manager.
Independent Living residents receive medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, scheduled laundry service and a monthly meal plan. These services are built into the standard fee structure and can be adjusted if a resident’s needs change.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, outside smoking areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services and scheduled transportation for shopping or appointments.
