Arizuma Horizons Assisted Living operates as a residential care home designed for residents who need consistent medical attention. The community accepts people who wander during the day or at night, have a history of elopement, show combative or other behavioral issues, or remain awake throughout the night. Care teams are trained for wound care, oxygen management, special diets, and advanced dementia conditions. Adults under 60 are welcome, and diabetic residents can be managed on oral medications, insulin injections, or sliding-scale regimens.
Clinical coverage is supported by a nurse on call 24 hours a day, staff who stay awake overnight, and round-the-clock security with door alarms, a fenced rear area, and a PERS alert system. All employees undergo background checks. Assistance with activities of daily living is available at the level each resident requires, from full help with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting to supervision only. Mobility support ranges from simple walker use to wheelchair, one- or two-person transfers, Hoyer-lift transfers, and care for bed-bound residents.
Private and semi-private rooms are offered, and some include a private bathroom, furnished setups, individual climate controls, cable access, and the option to repaint or decorate. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided, but not every room includes every listed feature, so families should verify availability during a tour.
Meals follow a set menu with an option to order alternatives, and staff can prepare snacks or serve meals in residents’ rooms when needed. The kitchen accommodates diet modifications such as gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, or thickened-liquid diets.
Residents have access to parking, internet, wheelchair-accessible common areas, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Smoking is permitted outdoors, and scheduled transportation is available for medical appointments and personal errands.
