Tuscany at McCormick Ranch is an Independent Living community that backs its lifestyle focus with an extensive menu of medical services. Residents who need help managing diabetes can receive regular monitoring and medication oversight, and a speech therapist is available for those with communication or swallowing concerns. On-site clinicians include a registered nurse, physical, occupational and massage therapists, an optometrist, dentist and podiatrist. The team also offers medication management, ambulatory support, incontinence care and coordination with hospice providers when needed. All services are delivered on campus, eliminating the need for frequent outside appointments and allowing residents to maintain their daily routine.
Daily living support is structured for people who handle most tasks on their own but may occasionally want assistance. Staff can cue or stand by during bathing, dressing, eating and toileting, and will help with walker transfers. An Activity Director organizes programs throughout the day, while 24-hour staffing and controlled access provide a consistent safety net. Because the community does not specialize in dementia care, it is best suited for residents without significant cognitive impairment.
Apartments and casitas come in several floor plans; features such as balconies, patios, fireplaces, kitchenettes, wheelchair-accessible showers, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and individual climate control vary by unit. Pet-friendly policies allow many residents to bring a companion animal, and outdoor areas, decks and parking are spread across the campus. The maintenance team handles repairs, and weekly housekeeping and personal laundry are included for Independent Living.
Dining is flexible. Residents choose meals from an on-order menu, and the culinary staff can modify entrées to meet most dietary requirements. A monthly meal plan is bundled into the Independent Living package, giving residents the option to dine on site or cook in their own kitchenette.
Amenities are set up to support both convenience and leisure. Resident parking, scheduled transportation, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie theater, library with fireplace, game and card room, heated pool and spa, outdoor BBQ area, communal gardens, putting green and direct access to the Camelback Walk Greenbelt are all on campus. Da Vinci’s Restaurant offers three dining rooms, and a cocktail lounge provides a social gathering spot. ComForCare, an on-site home-health partner, supplements the community’s services for those who may want additional private-duty care as needs change.
