The Gardens of Scottsdale provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, with programs designed to accommodate residents who wander, attempt elopement, exhibit combative or other behavioral issues, stay awake at night, or require management of complex medical needs such as wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetes—whether controlled by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale insulin. The community also accepts residents under 60 years old and is equipped to support advanced dementia conditions.
Registered and licensed nurses are on-site 24 hours a day, backed up by an on-call nurse for additional oversight. All employees undergo background checks, and the building maintains awake night-shift staff, an activity director, continuous security, fenced outdoor areas, door alarms, wander-guard systems, and resident pull cords. On-site services include visiting podiatrists, dental providers, mental-health professionals, and a therapy room. Care staff can deliver full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they handle transfers ranging from simple walker support to two-person or Hoyer-lift moves for bed-bound individuals.
Apartments vary, but options can include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnishings, individual climate controls, cable service, and the ability to paint or decorate the space. Housekeeping and either in-unit laundry or scheduled laundry service are provided, although not every accommodation offers every listed feature.
Meals are available by set menu or made-to-order, with snacks offered throughout the day, in-room dining for those who prefer it, and a private dining room for family gatherings. The kitchen staff manages specialized diets, including gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, and thickened-liquid plans.
Residents have access to parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, a library, swimming pool, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for errands and appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
