LifeStream Complete Senior Living at Northeast Phoenix offers an Independent Living setting where residents can remain as self-reliant as possible while having ready access to health professionals. A licensed nurse is on site, and scheduled visits from physical, occupational, and speech therapists, a podiatrist, a dentist, and hospice providers are available. Medication management is offered for those who want clinical oversight of their prescriptions, and the community can serve adults under 60 who prefer an independent model of care. While the campus includes areas designed for memory loss, the Independent Living program itself does not provide ongoing dementia support.
Additional day-to-day care features include an Activity Director who plans programs seven days a week and a pull-cord alert system that brings staff assistance around the clock. Team members can step in with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting for residents who normally handle these tasks on their own but occasionally need help. Walker and wheelchair transfers are accommodated, and ambulatory care and incontinence management services can be arranged when ordered by a physician.
Residences range from apartment-style units to garden homes. Depending on the floor plan, features can include a private bathroom, individual climate controls, cable outlets, a full kitchen, washer/dryer hookups, and the option to paint or decorate. Not every accommodation includes every listed feature, so residents are encouraged to review current layouts during a visit.
Meals are served from a set menu in the main dining room, and a monthly meal plan is included for Independent Living residents who choose communal dining over cooking in their own kitchens. For those who prefer to prepare their own food, the full kitchens in many units make that easy. Weekly housekeeping is provided under the Independent Living program, keeping routine chores off residents’ schedules.
Amenities on the campus include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, an exercise room, internet access, a library, communal gardens, and regular on-site religious services. Utilities such as water, sewer, and trash are bundled into the monthly fee, with phone and electricity billed separately. Scheduled transportation is offered, and the property is also close to public transit for residents who drive less or not at all. Outdoor smoking areas are designated, and pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
