The Auberge at Peoria is a memory-care–only community that focuses exclusively on residents living with moderate dementia. Core services cover long-term memory care along with respite or short-term stays, diabetes monitoring, regular physician oversight, and scheduled visits from a speech therapist. Around-the-clock nursing supervision and a night shift that remains awake provide continuous observation and timely response to changing health needs.
Additional medical support is delivered on site by occupational, physical, and speech therapists, as well as an optometrist, dentist, and podiatrist. The staff handles medication management, incontinence care, ambulatory assistance, and hospice coordination. Residents who need some physical help with bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting receive that assistance without leaving the secured memory-care environment. The campus was built to accommodate memory loss, and security checkpoints are in place to reduce wandering risks.
Private and companion suites are available, and most floor plans feature wheelchair-accessible showers, individual climate controls, and Wi-Fi. Select units may also include outdoor access, proximity to the central fireplace, or space for a small pet; not every accommodation has every feature, so prospective residents should verify specific details during a tour. Common areas are air-conditioned and include outdoor courtyards, dedicated parking, and a piano or organ for resident use.
Dining is handled by a professional chef who prepares three daily meals and snacks with options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-sodium, no-sugar, and international dishes. All-day dining allows residents to eat on their own schedule, and meals are served restaurant-style to encourage social interaction. Guest meals are available for family members who want to dine with residents.
Amenities include an on-site barber and beauty shop, a fitness and exercise room, community internet access points, a library, and organized special-interest clubs. These services provide opportunities for personal care, physical activity, and social engagement without residents having to leave the secured memory-care setting.
