MorningStar Senior Living at Golden Ridge offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care within one campus, allowing residents to move between levels of care if their needs change. The community is equipped to manage advanced dementia and a wide range of medical conditions, including day- and night-time wandering, elopement risk, combative or other behavioral issues, nighttime wakefulness, complex wound care, oxygen therapy, specialized diets, and diabetes—whether managed by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale insulin. Residents younger than 60 who require these services can also be accommodated.
Support is reinforced by licensed nurses on site 24 hours a day, with additional RN/LPN coverage on call. Background-checked staff provide both awake and asleep night-shift coverage, answer pull-cord alerts, and monitor secured doors, alarms, a fenced rear area, and WanderGuard systems. The on-site medical team coordinates podiatry visits and accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Full assistance is available for bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and transfer help ranges from standby support to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers, including walker and wheelchair needs. An Activity Director and 24-hour security staff round out the care model.
Residences include layouts with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished or unfurnished options, independent temperature controls, cable hookups, and the ability to paint or decorate for personalization, though not every apartment has every feature. Independent Living residents have the same access to emergency response systems and receive medication management monitoring; staff routinely review dosage schedules and coordinate refills to help residents remain as self-reliant as possible.
Meals are served three times daily, with a combination of set menu choices and made-to-order options. Snacks are available between meals, and the culinary team accommodates physician-ordered or preference-based dietary modifications, including low-sodium, heart-healthy, and diabetic meal plans. Staff are trained to monitor intake for residents who need assistance and to coordinate special diet or texture requirements with clinical teams. Independent Living residents can participate in the dining program as desired, and their medication schedules are cross-checked with meal times for consistency.
The campus provides resident parking, outside smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, wellness center, internet access, scheduled on-site religious services, and community transportation for appointments and errands. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
