Fairmont Village offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care supported by an extensive medical program. Residents with advanced dementia are accepted, and the team is prepared to manage wandering behavior in the morning or evening, elopement risks, and other behavioral challenges such as combativeness, staying up all night, or complex psychiatric concerns. Clinical protocols cover wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and full diabetic management—including residents on oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. The community also admits adults younger than 60 when appropriate.
Care delivery is reinforced by licensed nurses available around-the-clock on site and on call, an activity director, and caregivers who remain awake during overnight shifts. Background-checked staff maintain 24-hour security, with fenced outdoor areas, door alarms, and personal emergency response systems that alert team members immediately. Full assistance can be provided with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and the staff can handle every level of transfer need—from standby help with a walker to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for bed-bound residents. On-site podiatry services reduce the need for outside appointments, and the community accepts residents with ongoing psychiatric issues.
Apartments are available in several layouts; some offer private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished setups, independent climate controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate the space. Because floor plans differ, not every unit contains every listed feature, so it is best to verify specifics during a tour.
Meals are served three times daily, with a choice between set menus and on-order selections. Snacks are stocked throughout the day, and the kitchen staff adjusts textures, portions, and ingredients to meet physician-ordered diet modifications—including low-sodium, diabetic, or other specialized plans.
Residents have access to on-site parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a movie room, internet access, communal gardens, and regularly scheduled religious services. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Transportation services are available for medical appointments, errands, and leisure outings, and the community accepts ALTCS for eligible residents.
