Visions Assisted Living & Memory Care at Mesa provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, allowing residents to remain in one setting even as needs change. The community supports individuals who wander during the day or night, those at risk for elopement, and residents showing combative or other behavioral issues, including advanced dementia conditions. Care staff manage wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetes at all treatment levels—oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale insulin. Younger adults under 60 are accepted when appropriate, and the team is experienced with residents who stay awake through the night.
Registered nurses or licensed practical nurses are on-site 24 hours a day, with an additional nurse on call. Background-checked caregivers stay awake for the night shift, and door alarms, pull-cord alerts, fenced outdoor areas, and 24-hour security help prevent wandering and elopement. The community provides full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer support ranges from standby help to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for bed-bound residents, and both walkers and wheelchairs are accommodated. An activity director plans structured programs suited to varying cognitive and physical abilities.
Private and semi-private suites are available, and some offer private bathrooms, furnished layouts, independent climate controls, cable service, and the option to personalize walls with paint or décor. Not all accommodations include every feature, so families should confirm specific details during a tour.
Meals are served on a rotating set menu, but residents may request made-to-order items, and snacks are available throughout the day. The culinary team coordinates closely with nursing staff to manage diabetes diets, low-sodium preferences, texture modifications, and other physician-ordered nutritional plans.
Residents have access to on-site parking, outside smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, internet connectivity, communal gardens, and regular religious services held in the building. Transportation is arranged for medical appointments and local errands, and the community accepts ALTCS payment. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
