ACOYA Mesa offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and dedicated Memory Care. Residents who wander—whether in the morning or at night—are supervised, and protocols are in place for elopement risk, combative or other behavioral issues, and those who stay up through the night. The team manages wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetic care for residents using oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. Services extend to adults under 60 and individuals with advanced dementia, so families can keep loved ones on the same campus even as needs change.
Care is delivered by RNs and LPNs who are on-site 24 hours a day and backed by an additional nurse on call. Staff members are background-checked, remain awake through the night shift, and respond to pull-cord alerts. Doors are alarmed, front and rear areas are fenced, and WanderGuard systems help prevent unsafe exits. A podiatrist makes regular on-site visits. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting receive that help, and the staff can perform standby, one-person, two-person, and full Hoyer-lift transfers for those using walkers or wheelchairs. An activity director coordinates daily programming that fits each care level.
Apartments are available with options such as private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished setups, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the ability to paint or decorate—though specific features vary by unit. Meals can be ordered from set menus or made to order, snacks are always available, and the culinary team prepares physician-ordered diet modifications. Independent Living residents can add medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry service, and a monthly meal plan if desired.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, an exercise room, a movie room, a wellness center, internet service, communal gardens, and an on-site barber and beauty shop. Transportation is scheduled for medical appointments and local errands. Smoking is allowed in designated outdoor areas, and pets are welcome in accordance with community guidelines. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
