El Pueblo Assisted Living is licensed as a residential care home and is equipped to manage residents who require close medical oversight. The team is prepared for individuals who wander during the day or night, have a history of elopement attempts, exhibit combative or other challenging behaviors, or remain awake throughout the night. Caregivers work with residents who need wound care, oxygen therapy, special diet monitoring, and those living with advanced dementia. Adults under 60 are accepted, and diabetes care is offered at every level, including oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding-scale management.
Staff coverage includes an awake night shift, an asleep night shift, and 24-hour staff on site backed by a nurse on call at any hour. Background-checked caregivers deliver full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Transfers are supported for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs, need standby help, require one-person or two-person lifts, or are fully bed bound and need a Hoyer lift. Safety measures feature a fenced rear area, door alarms, and a personal emergency response system that routes alerts directly to staff. On-site medical professionals include visiting podiatrists, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses.
Private and semi-private rooms are available; some have their own bathrooms, furnished layouts, independent temperature controls, and cable access. Residents can personalize living spaces with their own décor or paint when possible. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are provided.
Meals follow a set menu with an option to order alternate selections. Snacks are available throughout the day, and in-room dining can be arranged when residents are unwell or prefer privacy. Dietary modifications cover gluten-free, mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other physician-ordered plans.
Amenities include resident parking, outside smoking areas, full wheelchair accessibility, community internet access, and shared garden spaces for fresh air and mild activity. On-site religious services are held regularly, and scheduled transportation is offered for medical appointments and local errands.
