The Phoenix at Opelika offers two principal levels of support—Independent Living and Memory Care. Residents in Independent Living benefit from on-site nursing oversight, scheduled wellness checks, and access to medical professionals without leaving the campus. Memory Care residents receive a higher level of supervision that includes individualized care plans, medication administration, and monitoring for changes in cognitive or physical status. A secured environment and an emergency call system in every unit allow staff to respond promptly to urgent medical needs.
Beyond direct medical oversight, the community provides daily living assistance tailored to each resident’s abilities. Care staff are on duty around the clock to help with bathing, dressing, and mobility when needed, while licensed nurses coordinate with outside physicians, pharmacies, and rehabilitation providers. Therapy services, health education sessions, and transportation to off-site medical appointments are arranged to keep residents’ healthcare routines uninterrupted and reliable.
Apartments are designed to balance privacy with safety. Units may include features such as a private bathroom, independent temperature controls, cable television, regular housekeeping, and scheduled laundry services, though availability of these features can vary by floor plan. Maintenance is handled by the community, and emergency response systems are in place in all units.
Dining is managed by culinary staff who prepare three daily meals with physician-approved menu options to meet common dietary requirements, including low-sodium and diabetic choices. Meals are served restaurant-style in a shared dining room, and caregivers are present to assist Memory Care residents who need help eating or monitoring of food intake. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and residents with specialized diets can request individual accommodations.
Residents have access to campus-wide internet service, allowing them to stay in contact with family, manage personal affairs online, or participate in virtual enrichment programs.
