Proveer at Heritage Woods delivers two levels of residential support: Assisted Living for residents who need help with daily activities and Memory Care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Both programs operate inside a secured community to promote safety. Short-term respite stays are available, and the staff coordinates directly with physicians and other outside providers to maintain continuity of care. Diabetes management, routine doctor visits, speech therapy, and physical therapy can all be arranged on site, ensuring that residents have ready access to essential medical services without leaving the community.
Additional clinical resources are built into everyday life at Proveer. Licensed nurses oversee medication management, wound care, incontinence care, and hospice services. Occupational and physical therapists provide ongoing rehabilitation programs, while speech therapists address communication or swallowing concerns. The environment itself is designed to support those with memory loss through specialized layouts and cueing. Each resident receives a customized care plan that is reviewed and updated as needs change, and the community can accommodate ambulatory as well as non-ambulatory individuals.
Housing options include studio and efficiency apartments with utilities, housekeeping, and laundry services covered in the monthly rate. Some units feature wheelchair-accessible showers, and many open to landscaped grounds or outdoor seating areas. Parking is available for residents who still drive, and pets are welcomed in designated areas. Not every apartment includes every feature, so prospective residents are encouraged to verify specific details during a tour.
Dining services provide three daily meals prepared on site, with standard, kosher, and vegetarian menus offered to meet dietary preferences or physician-ordered restrictions. Snacks are available throughout the day, and staff can monitor special diets such as diabetic or texture-modified needs. Family members are welcome to join residents for meals with prior notice, and seasonal menus rotate to incorporate resident feedback.
Residents can take part in a range of social and wellness activities, including clubs, group exercise such as yoga or chair yoga, arts and crafts workshops, and regularly scheduled happy hours. A library and computer lounge support quiet pursuits, while an activity center hosts birthday parties, planned entertainment, and other social events. Scheduled outings into the Mobile area keep residents connected with the larger community, and a structured health and wellness program encourages ongoing physical and cognitive engagement.
