Brookdale Hampton Cove is a memory-care only community that specializes in supporting residents with moderate dementia. Diabetes management and speech therapy are available on site, and the care team is anchored by both RNs and LPNs, with a nurse on duty around the clock. Continuous staffing and 24-hour security help ensure consistent monitoring, medication administration and prompt response to health changes.
Additional clinical services include physical, occupational and speech therapy, podiatry visits, hospice coordination and comprehensive medication management. The community provides full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and toileting, as well as incontinence and ambulatory care. Residents who use walkers or wheelchairs, or who only need standby support, receive individualized transfer assistance. Every area of the building is designed to accommodate memory loss, with secured entries and layouts intended to minimize confusion.
Private and companion suites may feature kitchenettes, individual climate control and access to outdoor areas; some units also include space for a personal piano or organ. Because floor plans vary, not every accommodation offers every feature, but each residence is equipped with safety features appropriate for memory care. Pets are welcome in select units, subject to community guidelines.
Meals follow a set menu designed to meet common dietary needs while simplifying choice for residents with cognitive impairment. Staff provide full dining assistance when needed, adapting portion sizes, textures and pacing to each resident’s abilities to help maintain nutrition and minimize frustration.
Community amenities include resident parking, a barber and beauty shop, internet access, communal gardens, arts and crafts space, postal services, a porch and walking paths, as well as a private dining room, whirlpool, fireside living room and multiple pianos. Each apartment has an emergency response system, and building access is controlled by keypad entry and a 24-hour security system. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
